Why You Need The IELTS Plus Course

IELTS Plus combines the core curriculum of the IELTS Core Course PLUS the grammar modules of the Pre-IELTS Course.

The IELTS Plus Course consists of 16 classes on grammar and 28 classes covering listening, reading, writing and speaking. That's 132 hours of instruction from teachers who specialize in IELTS. These teachers understand the challenges that native Chinese speakers face in mastering English grammar and have the experience to help you get the high score that you need.

You will also have access to our online LMS so that you can study at home. This state-of-the-art LMS has thousands of sentences and examples, as well as tests and practice activities.

What Is Included?

You’ll learn techniques to develop all five key English skills — grammar, listening, reading, writing and speaking (including pronunciation) to raise your English level before the exam. Specifically, we will work together to make sure you:

  • Are familiar with the format and types of tasks in the different sections of the IELTS test
  • Are familiar with the assessment criteria
  • Learn to identify the context and the type of information the exam is testing for
  • Know how best to approach each section
  • Develop an awareness of the time allowed for each section and include timed practice in class
  • Know how best to approach each type of listening and reading task
  • Develop reading skills such as skimming and scanning — you will need to use these skills to answer all the questions in the time allotted.
  • Structure your writing logically and clearly
  • Decide on a position and use examples and evidence to support points you make in the writing and speaking sections
  • Learn to use fillers and hesitation devices if you need ‘thinking time’ before answering
